Day 356: The Barbershop

A man walks into a barbershop and says to the barber, “I need to get a haircut.” The barber looks the man over and says, “Which one?”

The rest of this blog has nothing to do with barbershops and everything to do with mothers, so click below to read it.

Day 355: Telephone

“Give me just a sec. I need to make a phone call. Hello, May 17, 2011? Yeah, It’s me, Josh, on May 6, 2011. Just wanted to give you a call and tell you that I’ll see you soon.”

The end is getting close now. And yes, I realize if you do the math up there, it seems like I’ll be done on May 16 instead of on my birthday. That’s because I was so excited to get started on this blog a year ago, I jumped the gun and posted a day early. But if you think that means I’ll be stopping a day early, think again!

Day 351: The Lone Bicycle

That bike’s gonna get stolen, for real. Put a basket and some tassels on that thing and you’ve got a sweet ride.

Well, it’s now May, which means this year-long project is about to come to a close. I’ll save my thoughts on the year when I’m finally done on May 17th, but let’s just say that I’m excited and relieved. More to come in about 15 days, including some new developments and (possibly) exciting news.

In other news, you’ll notice that I have a new blog header up there. It’s a companion piece to my June 2010 header. If you’d like to see how they compare, click here (NOTE: I do really look like that right now. UPDATE: No, I don’t.). Also, since I’m nearing the end, I’ll be putting together a poll to have the readers of this blog vote for which header design submitted over the last year was the best. The winner will receive a $100 gift card to any online outlet of their choosing. More information and the nominees can be viewed here (NOTE: I am allowed to win, so please vote for me. I could really use that $100 gift card).

Day 295: Camel

This photo was not supposed to be posted today, but as circumstances would dictate, the drawing that was to be posted cannot be posted until later in the week (Translation: Photoshop decided to freeze, and I, being the dunderhead that I am, hadn’t saved anything). I’ve been pretty impressed with my friend Grape Ape’s black and white photography, so when I ran into my little accident, I went into the (cue pretentiousness) archives and found an older photo and played around with it a bit. I’m pretty happy with the results, even if it’s not exactly what I wanted to post today. Roll with the punches, right?

Day 286: I’m On A Boat

Went on a boat ride in the waters of Abu Dhabi today with my friends Justin (left) and Chad (right). It was a lot of fun, with the boat almost turning completely sideways through a few hairy turns. And I didn’t get seasick like the last time I was on a boat. So it was an improvement all around.
