Saw my pal Grape Ape for lunch the other day and we had a darn good time, as you can no doubt tell by this photo. Look at those happy faces! These faces were not forced in any way!
I talk a lot about Nick on this blog, as he’s my collaboratin’ buddy extraordinaire, but I don’t think I’ve shown him off in all his glory. Well, here he is. Not much to look at, I know*, but inside that noggin of his are some of the funniest ideas ever unleashed on mankind. When he gets on a roll, there’s no one funnier and his humor will devastate nearby standing structures. Don’t get him started!
*= I’m kidding. Nick is an Adonis, constructed of smoldering gazes and bronzed abs.
Also, today is September 1, which means it’s time to update the header at the top of the blog. The optical attacker up there comes from Brandon Washington, talented designer, dancer and washboard player. Check out his website and tell him I sent you. Tell him!
And finally, stuff I’ve done is starting to show up other places! My friend Sheila was so taken with my series of Random Facts illustrations that she printed out a few and hung them up at work! That’s an incredible honor for me!
And just in case you don’t believe me, here’s a picture to prove it! Also, yes, Sheila is wanted for crimes in several states, so I decided to censor her face for her benefit. But see? Just over her shoulder! There they are! Wee! And my friend Cindle used the photo I took of her and her awesome family on the header of her blog! You gals know how to make a guy feel special!
In other news, Betsy & Waffles are still out exploring various galaxies, but Nick will have a non-Betsy & Waffles related comic up on his blog later today. I have the inside scoop that it’s funny and charming and would win an Oscar if it was a film.
I’m taking a break from building photography to show off my friend Cindle and her awesome baby Maddox and husband-to-be Brian. She’s an awesome girl and her baby is just as awesome as she is. This week was my first time meeting Brian, but he’s a great guy and she made a good choice. Plus they invited me to Wisconsin (where they live now), an offer which I’ll gladly be taking them up on sometime in the near future. Cindle runs a family blog, and she’s an awesome writer, so go check it out if you get a chance.
