Went downtown this weekend and snapped a few photos on the water. The weather right now is perfect for photography and I don’t have to sweat like crazy just snapping a few frames. There’s a photo contest going on right now, as well, and I’m thinking about entering. The deadline is December 31, so once I’ve picked maybe 10 good shots, I’ll post them on here and maybe let everyone help me decide which ones to submit (each person can submit up to four photos).

Day 116: Nature
I like this quote by Frank Lloyd Wright because it allows the reader to place his or her own meaning on it. If you wish to believe that Wright doesn’t believe in God and instead chooses to put his faith in the natural world, then you can (this is the way I see it). However, if you choose to believe that Wright believes in God because of the very existence of nature, then I suppose you can do that as well. I like when things aren’t cut and dry.
I never thought these “quotos” would turn into a series like this. It’s pretty neat going though a lot of the random photos I’ve taken over the years and trying to match them with an appropriate quote. It’s nice to re-purpose some shots that I originally thought were useless.
In other news, Nick posted a Betsy & Waffles min-installment that’s decidedly different than previous efforts and one which I had no involvement in, but it stays true to the series proper. You’ve no doubt noticed that the updates concerning Betsy & Waffles have fallen to the wayside, but this is for an important reason. As Nick says, he and I are working on a big project that we’ll maybe be able to share more about a little down the road. If we can accomplish what we’re trying to, we will feel like kings. But don’t worry, Betsy & Waffles still have a few adventures left in them and we won’t keep those from you. When they’ll appear I cannot say, but you’ll know as soon as we do.
Day 76: Nature!
Not much going on at the moment, so I took a photo just outside my house. That’s pretty lazy, I agree. I’m heading to Montgomery, Ala., today to see my friend Sandi, so maybe some good photo opportunities will present themselves. Also, since tomorrow is the start of a new month, my blog will have a new header image adorning the top. So exciting! See you then!
